Passenger Information Systems
James Transportation Group staff has been leading the development
of IP based passenger information systems in California and the western
US for many years.
We are currently focusing on an IP based wireless passenger information
systems solution. This system removes some of the uncertainty for both
long-term and casual users regarding the reliability and timeliness of
their transit trip/experience.
On-board and wayside LCD monitors provide bus and train arrival departure
and transfer point times. The most beneficial information is real-time bus
arrival times delivered to both on-board and wayside terminals.
This system is the state of the art. Current development efforts are
